Pat's Suzuki Bandit

Every great shop has a build that defines its spirit — for Paparo Motorsports, that’s Pat’s 2001 Suzuki Bandit 1200. What started as a solid street bike has evolved into a precision-engineered powerhouse that perfectly represents the shop’s dedication to performance, creativity, and craftsmanship.

Inspired by Brock Davidson’s legendary drag-raced Bandit, Pat set out to build his own version — but street-able, cleaner, and entirely his own. The Bandit’s heart was upgraded to a 1216cc high-compression big bore using JE pistons, a completely rebuilt and ported head, stage 2 Web cams, and heavy-duty APE valve springs. Feeding the beast is a set of modified 38mm carburetors paired with K&N filters and a Dynatek ignition system, all tuned for over 160 horsepower of raw, reliable power.

The attention to detail didn’t stop at performance. The frame, swingarm, and front forks were powder-coated in Nissan Pearl Black, while the wheels pop in a deep Candy Red, giving the bike a custom contrast that commands attention. The wiring harness was cleaned up, unnecessary factory parts removed for weight reduction, and the entire bike modernized with LED lighting and sequential turn signals.

Finally, the Bandit was brought to life through a custom tune developed by Pat himself, the owner and master tuner at Paparo Motorsports. The result is a build that’s as functional as it is beautiful — a perfect example of what happens when experience meets passion, and every bolt is turned with purpose.

Pat’s Bandit isn’t just a motorcycle — it’s the foundation of Paparo Motorsports’ performance philosophy.
