Derick’s ZX-6R

When Derick brought in his bone-stock 2016 Kawasaki ZX-6R, he wanted more than just another fast 636 — he wanted something purpose-built for roll racing dominance. What started as a clean street bike quickly became one of the most dialed-in 600cc builds to come through Paparo Motorsports.

The bike was lowered and streamlined for maximum stability and aerodynamic advantage during high-speed rolls. Every unnecessary ounce was shaved away — from lightweight forged carbon bodywork to a half-tank fuel cell designed to allow deeper tucking and better rider positioning. Even the headlights were swapped for carbon-weight reduction panels, keeping form and function perfectly balanced.

What really sets this build apart is the innovation behind it. Derick’s bike became the first 2016 ZX-6R to receive a full newer-generation tail and subcage conversion, giving it a unique hybrid look that turns heads.

Under the fairings, Paparo Motorsports custom ECU tuning unlocked the bike’s true potential — fine-tuned fueling, optimized timing, and razor-sharp throttle response. The result? A lightweight, aggressive, and incredibly smooth machine built for serious speed.

Derick’s ZX-6R isn’t just tuned — it’s #PaparoTuned.
